Remembering the brave Maclean warrirors of our past, let’s take a moment to be thankful for this Maclean who fought at the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

MONROE — Monroe County resident Harold McLean, a WWII Army Veteran and a Five Bronze Star recipient, celebrated his 96th birthday.

ProMedica Hospice serving Monroe and Lenawee Counties helped Mr. McLean celebrate and called him a local hero. A hospice patient, Mr. McLean’s prognosis was not

good when he started, so the ProMedica Hospice team quickly held a veteran pinning ceremony for Harold to honor him for his services. He has since then rebounded
