Each month, ABC15 presents someone in the community with a Jefferson Award, which has been given for 50 years to leaders who inspire action.
The recipient of the 2021 Jefferson Award and the person who will represent our region at the National Celebration of Service in Indianapolis is Terry Mclean.
When we first introduced Mclean last December, she was busy, along with her staff and volunteers, at Capture Child Development Center in Loris bagging up clothing and toys for their 12th annual toy drive.
When we went back to surprise her with the 2021 Jefferson Award, we found her once again serving her community, providing dinner for parents, volunteers and her staff.
